Edelcat in its time was one of the first modern French designs quite quirky with its independent hulls and separate saloon making it ideal for the Mediterranean being compact with its shallow draft at 0.90 mtr it is able to go places many yachts dare to tread. Being an easy project for someone, with a few things that still need to be done, such as finishing the woodwork in the cockpit and galley and some minor bits and pieces Someone who is a bit handy could finish it a couple of weeks. The catamaran was built in France in 1992, as part of the legendary line of Edelcat catamarans known for their robust construction, balanced sailing performance, and uncomplicated systems that sailors love and was purchased 3 years ago by its current owner. It was very well equipped, but with a pretty old design, so the owner decided to strip it out and make it more modern and more spacious. It was in the E.U. prior to the cut of date in 1992 (so VAT is deemed exempt.) He sailed it from Cadiz where he purchased it and sailed it back to Gandia in mainland Spain and he just sailed it around locally. The main reason the owner is selling is due to the fact is simply he just that he doesn’t have enough time to sail due to other commitments.
