Power catamarans have many major advantages compared to conventional single hulled equivalents. Of course added usable extra space and stability are the obvious ones, but fuel economy is also a big plus in comparison. Handling in the marina or under way is so much easier for a minimal crew even on the larger yachts. Being able to explore shallow creeks and bays and anchorages that any monohull would not dare to approach.
A catamaran hull almost eliminates the roll experienced by a conventional hull and really does offer a comfortable experience sitting at anchor.

A 100ft Trawler style catamaran as an example, is a luxury motor yacht capable of speed over 25 knots and offering a range of 2000 nautical miles at 11 knots which was custom built for a discerning client who could not equal the build quality seen in BLUE COAST YACHTS.
Equipped with water-jets propulsion for silence, no vibration and extreme manoeuvring, the BCY 100' MC Custom is efficient in any sea condition with the highest safety and comfort.
We must be perfectly clear about this: each yacht is carefully built especially for the individual client in true superyacht tradition and offers the highest quality of build and materials not possible in a production model. However prices are not as far apart as the build quality and it may be easily possible to build a fully customised unique superyacht, better finished and better built.
