Solar / Electric / Silent

The Class 6 Power eSolar is designed for those who dream of crossing oceans with minimal environmental impact. With up to 10kW of solar panels covering the flybridge and deck, combined with a lithium battery bank up to 100kWh, you can cruise silently for hours or even days.

The lightweight 14T displacement means less energy is needed to move efficiently. At 6-8 knots in range mode, the solar panels can often replenish what you use, making true energy-neutral passages possible.

For extended passages like Trans-Pacific crossings, the optional KiteSail systemprovides emergency propulsion using wind power, while a compact DC generatorensures you're never without reserve power.

Solar Harvest

6kW to 10kW+ of solar panels on flybridge and deck — enough to cruise at range speed indefinitely

Battery Bank

40kWh to 100kWh lithium battery bank for silent cruising and overnight hotel loads

Electric Motors

Twin 20kW to 40kW electric motors — whisper-quiet propulsion with instant torque

Energy Management System

A fully integrated solar-electric system designed for autonomous long-range cruising.

Solar Array

6kW to 10kW+ installed capacity

High-efficiency marine-grade panels integrated into the flybridge hardtop and forward deck areas. The curved surfaces are optimized for maximum sun exposure throughout the day. In tropical latitudes, expect 30-50kWh of daily harvest.

Lithium Batteries

Lithium Battery Bank

40kWh to 100kWh capacity

Marine-grade LiFePO4 batteries with integrated BMS. Designed for 3000+ cycles and 10+ years of service. The lightweight lithium chemistry saves over 500kg compared to AGM, contributing to our record-breaking efficiency.

DC Generator

Optional backup power

For extended passages, an optional Fischer Panda DC generator provides reliable backup charging. Run it for 2-3 hours daily to maintain battery levels during cloudy weather or higher-speed cruising.

Energy Consumption vs Speed

Class 6 Power Consumption Chart

The ultra-lightweight Class 6 requires significantly less power than heavier competitors. At 6 knots, consumption drops to levels that can be sustained by solar alone.

KiteSail Emergency Propulsion

For true ocean-crossing capability, the Class 6 Power eSolar can be equipped with an emergency KiteSail system. If you exhaust your battery reserves and solar isn't enough, deploy the kite to harness wind power.

The kite flies at altitude where winds are stronger and more consistent, pulling the catamaran at 4-6 knots while simultaneously regenerating your battery bank through the electric motors operating as generators.

This redundancy makes Trans-Pacific passages feasible for the adventurous owner who wants complete energy independence.

Spine Concept

The patented Wave Piercing central hull with 32-layer carbon beam creates exceptional seakeeping and reduced energy consumption.

Spine Underside ConstructionCarbon Structure DetailCarbon Hull Construction

Wave Piercing Design

The central spine pierces through waves rather than riding over them, dramatically reducing hobby-horsing and improving comfort. In rough conditions, you'll feel the difference immediately.

Reduced Resistance

The spine's fine entry and wave-piercing bow reduce energy consumption, making the eSolar configuration viable. Less resistance means more range from every kilowatt-hour.

Enhanced Security

The 32-layer carbon beam provides exceptional structural integrity. Even in the event of hull damage, the spine maintains vessel integrity and buoyancy for safe passage.

Interior & Accommodation

Genesis

The Class 6 concept was born from a collaboration between Dan Levy and legendary offshore sailor Laurent Bourgnon. Both shared a vision: create the most efficient, seaworthy catamaran platform possible.

The eSolar variant takes this vision further — proving that long-range ocean cruising can be achieved with minimal environmental impact. The lightweight construction, efficient hull form, and integrated solar harvesting make sustainable ocean voyaging a reality.

Think Green. The eSolar represents the future of responsible ocean cruising.
